Hey girls! I’ve been getting a few questions on Instagram lately about what lip color I’m wearing, so today we will be talking all things lips. I get so giddy when sharing my favorite makeup products. I don’t know why, but I freaking love makeup! Always have, always will. I want to go back in time and thank the very first person who began the idea. They would be blown away at how the makeup industry has grown and the developments that have taken place.
Let’s start with my current favorite lipstick routine. I switch up the lipliner and lipsticks I use from time to time and then try new combinations. I’ve been using these particular shades for a few weeks now and love how they look together. I begin by lining my lips with MAC’s lipliner in the shade Soar. Then, I fill in my lips with MAC’s lipstick called Peach Blossom. The star of the show that ties the whole shiny look together is Chanel’s Rouge Coco Gloss in 722. The lipliner and lipstick have a pink tone and the gloss has a slightly brownish tone, which look beautiful together! Another favorite lipstick of mine for years now, is the color Syrup byMAC. I don’t even use a liner with this color. It’s so beautiful and the most perfect subtle pink. I’ll wear it for as long as they make it.
Let’s be honest, there are days when we don’t have the time or desire to put a lot of effort into our makeup. That’s just reality. For those days I have a few favorite lip balms that I swear by. As we speak I’m wearing the Fresh Sugar Coconut Hydrating Lip Balm. It’s not sticky at all and it makes my lips feel so incredibly smooth as I rub them together. If you’re a sucker for coconut scents, this one will be perfect for you… especially for summer. It smells tropical, keeps my lips feeling great, and has no color which means I can smear it on and no one will know I applied it in a rush.
My next favorite is by the same brand. This one comes in many shades but I wear it in the color Rose. The Fresh – Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15 is one of my ride or dies. If I forgot all of my other makeup at home and had only this, I would survive.
I’m a tough customer, I’m not easy to please. So when I say I love these products I truly do. It takes a lot for me to love a makeup product since there is so much amazing competition out there, however, these are tried and true for me. My one take away this summer, and everyday, is to wear a lip balm with sunscreen. Our skin is so delicate and precious, its important to protect it.
