Happy 4th of July week! With all of the water, pool parties and sweating that’s going on in the summer, I find it a MUST to wear waterproof eye makeup. One splash from the kids at the pool party or one BBQ in the sizzling sun will send your beautiful eye makeup running down your pretty little face! UGH!
We all want to avoid that dreaded black raccoon under eye situation. It happens… but what can we do? I’ll tell you exactly which eye makeup products I have been using for years. These products are tried and true and won’t budge! (Click the pics to shop the products below!)
EYELINER PENCILS
I fell in love with this L’oreal eyeliner pencil. It’s incredibly affordable, creamy, and it lasts all day! That’s really all I’m looking for in an eyeliner! I use the Deep Brown and the Ultra Black. I especially love it for the upper lash line right under your lashes to give the appearance of thicker, fuller lashes. The Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Pencil is another great option!
LIQUID EYELINERS
The MAC Liquidlast Liner is my absolute favorite liquid liner ever to exist. It is at the top of my list. I’ve used it for years and every time I dare stray I come right back. This stuff ain’t messing around ladies! Once its on, its on! I keep pointed Q-Tips on hand as I apply it, to correct mistakes immediately before it sets. It comes in several fun colors too! MASCARAS
These are my favorite waterproof mascaras. Tried and true for years! I use the black L’oreal Mascara for my upper lashes, and the brown for my lower lashes for a softer but still more defined look. I really love the tiny brush on this Maybelline mascara also, and it will NOT budge a bit either! Both are affordable and do what they claim!
REMOVING WATERPROOF EYE MAKEUP
Quick tip, I ONLY use coconut oil to remove my waterproof eye makeup, and then wipe it away with a Neutrogena face wipe. The oil breaks down the waterproof makeup much easier than anything else I’ve ever tried. I’ve also added the precision Q-Tips I use daily to get that beautiful sharp winged liner, or to correct any makeup mistakes. I can rarely ever find these in store so I usually purchase a couple of boxes online at a time.
