Hello lovely ladies! Can you believe it’s October?! It’s just crazy how fast time flies. The kids have decorated the house and everywhere I turn are candy bowls filled with candy that I’m trying my hardest to resist. I LOVE the holidays and couldn’t be more excited that they are rapidly approaching. The only downfall to this season is how dry my skin becomes from the change in weather. We had such a hot and sweaty summer in California and now the air has dried out and the wind has kicked up. This means that my skin is paying the price. Today, I’m sharing my secrets on what I do to beat this dry weather and how I remedy the issues it causes for my skin.

EXFOLIATE
Since my skin becomes so dry and flaky, I make sure I exfoliate my skin about twice a week. Here are a few great facial exfoliators to try. The Fresh Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash sells out in my local Sephora super quickly, so you may have to grab it online.
CLEANSE
These are my absolute favorite face washes. Both leave my skin feeling cleansed, moisturized, and incredibly soft. If I don’t thoroughly wash my face every night I instantly wake up regretting it with blemishes all over. That being said, these have kept my skin looking and feeling great for years and they’re my ride or dies. I alternate every few days between the two and recommend them to everyone.
FACE MASKS
I am obsessed with using face masks. Home made, store bought, correcting and hydrating… you name it, I’ve got it covered! When Fall comes around I immediately switch to using hydrating face masks. I LOVE the Fresh Rose Face Mask. It feels wonderful, hydrating and smells great, too. The Black Tea is currently in my cart now. Another favorite is the Summer Fridays Jetlag Face Mask. I love to use this on the most dry areas of my face. I apply a generous amount and leave it on all night. I also use it for dry skin on my hands and it’s wonderful.
CREAMS & MOISTURIZERS
There’s no better way to seal in that moisture than with a great moisturizer, of course! Chanel has a great facial moisturizer called LE LIFT Creme Riche. I used this for so long because it made my skin insanely moisturized and smells soooooo good! If you don’t mind the price point I would highly recommend it. I’ve also linked some more affordable options that I love and use on a regular basis as well. (The Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Lotion is a favorite I’ve used for over 15 years and it’s just a few dollars!)
//BEAUTY TIPS//
Remember to drink plenty of water so that you’ll stay hydrated from the inside out. It truly has an effect on your skin and hair!
Take a warm bath and pour 1-2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and soak for 30 minutes. This is a great remedy for dry skin! Be careful- bathtub may get slippery!
