Hey ladies! If I had to choose one way to spend my extra time (which I don’t ever have now that I’m a mom) it would be decorating my home. I absolutely love to decorate. Your home is your sanctuary and you should feel comfortable in your space.
Today I’m doing something a little outside of the beauty and fashion element, and I’m going to share how I turned my kitchen into my dream kitchen. When we moved in, the kitchen was pretty but I had a particular idea in mind. We refaced the cabinets and had them painted white, and rebuilt some of them to our liking. We also had the center butcher block island painted the color Soot, by Benjamin Moore, to give the kitchen a pop of personality so it wouldn’t be completely stark white. Not shown in the picture is a built in cabinet on another wall that is also in Soot. We got rid of the old tan granite and went with marble countertops and backsplash for a fresher approach.
I have always loved the look of brass fixtures, so we chose Waterstone brass faucets for both sinks, and brass knobs to match. I’m super happy with the way it turned out. The kitchen was important to me because aside from my vanity, wink wink, it’s where I spend the most time.
