Keeping it Chic While Staying Casual

Hi girls!!  I hope everyone had a great spring break! If you didn’t have a break, then I hope spring has started out great for you!  This is the prettiest time of year.  The sun is coming out, the plants are blooming and blossoming, and fashion is getting more fun since we can begin to shed a few layers!  Not that I know much about that since I’m in Cali!  😉

I love taking trends and putting my personal touch on them by keeping things fun and feeling fresh.  With all of the current trending colors and fabrics, it’s so simple to create a casual look while keeping it chic at the same time.  It’s also important to have pieces you can mix and match and use for many different outfits because it can get expensive trying to play catch up with every new season’s trends.

That’s my favorite part about this look.  The top can be dressed up or down, worn to work or the farmers market.  The skirt is great for the beach, errands, a date night or even church!  Lastly, it’s super easy to throw on a pair of converse and head out.

I really love this striped button down.  Not only are stripes on trend, but it’s a great way to add a little flare to your outfit without taking a big risk.  You can tie them up for an easy breezy vibe, or tuck them into a pant or jeans and throw on a blazer.  I often wear mine during the week with a pair of jeans and sandals and head out for the day.  This button down is almost identical to the one I’m wearing.  Another cute Gap option right here.  This one has a more loose, casual fit and is very cute for daytime wear.  Loving this one from A&F and it’s currently on sale… just added it to my cart!

Midi skirts are all over the place right now and are so chic and versatile!  This satin skirt is from Zara and the pretty pastel pink stole my heart!  It’s even more beautiful in person!  The best part about this piece is the price… it’s under $40!  Such a steal!!  This ASOS skirt is really pretty and love the neutral color, which is great for pairing with any bold top.  Love this beautiful gold midi and it’s currently on sale.

These shoes speak for themselves.  They have been around since the dinosaur days and clearly don’t go out of style.  They just keep on keeping on, so you’ll get your money’s worth out of them.  Converse are a great closet staple because you can wear them with shorts, skirts, dresses or jeans.  I picked these up in high top and lowtop quite a while back when I saw that Sarah Jessica Parker wears hers in the same color quite often.  She can do NO wrong so I was like where do I sign up?  Lol!
