Hello beautiful ladies!! I love the transformation makeup offers and how it can boost your mood and lift your self confidence! I can tell you right off the bat that I wasn’t born with it- it’s Maybelline. Well, maybe not Maybelline exactly, but I’ll tell you how I achieve that ‘glow from within’ look.
Step 1- Prep Your Skin
Most importantly, take proper care of your skin! We are all human and getting flaws is inevitable, but having a good skin care regimen can help improve the appearance of your skin greatly! Take a look at my post called My Tips for Youthful Looking Skin.
Use a good moisturizer. This doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to spend a fortune. It simply means finding one that will keep your skin from becoming dry and flaky, and one that you know your skin responds well to. I’ve tried several from all price ranges and thank God the one my skin loves the most is totally inexpensive! I hit the jackpot with this one!
Step 2- The Base
Once I’ve applied all of my morning serums and moisturizers, I apply this Primer Plus Radiance SPF 35 from Bobbi Brown to my entire face and neck. This will give you a really soft, iridescent glow, all the while, protecting your skin from the sun!
Next, I apply Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonderglow. However, my skin often gets oily throughout the day, so I only apply this on the areas that I want slightly more highlighted. For example, the center of my nose, cheekbones, collarbones and shoulders.
Step 3- Seal the Deal
Set your face with powder. I use Georgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Powder Foundation in shade 4.5. You’ll want to be sure to use a very light hand over the cheekbones and any area that you want to have more of a highlighted effect.
This next step is the beautiful star of the show! I’m so happy I found this product because it really gives the skin such a vibrant and healthy looking glow! Drumroll please… Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow Contour Duo. My shade is Fair/Medium. Even the bronzer has the slightest shimmer in it but it’s so subtle that your face never ends up looking dirty or patchy.
I apply the highlighter to my cheekbones, eyebrow bones, cupids bow, shoulders, collarbones and anything else that you want to shine for the gods! Also, it looks beautiful to add a little pop to the inner corner of your eye!
Step 4- Set that Beautiful Glow
Lastly, use a setting spray to hold everything in place. Just think of it as hairspray, but for your face. After putting in all of this effort you want to make sure that shimmer and shine doesn’t budge! Adding a setting spray is also a huge contributor in giving your radiant look one last bit of glow.
That sums it up ladies! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Thank you for letting me share my makeup tips and tricks with you! Love you girls!
Love Always,
Kimberly
